Brrr! The crisp mornings of autumn have certainly arrived so I couldn't be happier to see some gorgeous long winter coats dropping in store. I fell in love with this sports luxe coat from Cue. I think the slightly oversized nature gives it a modern twist, edging away from perfect tailoring we are used to but still keeping a look of structure. This could easily be worn on the weekends over jeans and a tee as well, super versatile.
I'm also all about switching out pants for some long thigh high boots under a cute mid length skirt. They keep your legs nice and toasty and it means you can wear your middy skirts all year round!
I chose a shirt with a built in white tie, these kind of 'extras’ are perfect if you need to switch up your look throughout the day. For the morning I went conservative, simply tying it in front and tucking it in. Then for the afternoon, I tied it around my neck making a cute bow in the back. I actually wanted to pop my hair in a ponytail to show it off but I'm a dork and forgot my hair tie. Note to self, always have some spare hair accessories in your work handbag, they can really help transform a look.
I did, however, remember to pop a cute belt and a few delicate starry chains in. Small accessories like these bring interest and personality into an outfit so perfect if you need to go straight from work to an event.
Depending on where you were off to, sleek black pumps are a great way to dress up a look and on the other side ankle boots or even ballet flats would look great as a more casual option
