Dress to impress: Dressing for your Santa photo
Ho Ho Ho, Santa Claus is on his way to Westfield Manukau! This means it’s time to start planning the perfect outfit and make this year’s photo one to remember. To get you started, here are our top tips on dressing to impress Santa with your family, friends and fur-babies.
Sleigh from head to mistletoe
Posing for an epic bestie Santa photo this year? Why not treat yo’elf to new matching Christmas tees from Jay Jays, Postie or Cotton On.
You can also whip these out at Friends-mas to channel the ultimate Christmas crew spirit. To ramp things up even more, pick a fun theme for the photo such as “all the jingle ladies” or “gangsta wrappers”.
Twinning is winning
Want the perfect matching family photo? While your usual attire is great for day to day, why not amp up your Christmas photo and theme it? Whether you want to be Santa's little helpers, matching reindeer, or pose for a classic Christmas matching moment to impress the grandparents, Farmers and Postie have you covered.
Best in snow
Although frilly lace dresses and tiny tuxedos are adorable, they rarely work for a Santa visit and could be to blame for the mid-queue tantrums. Avoid the meltdown and choose an outfit that will keep them comfortable throughout the day. For babies and infants, consider a Christmas-themed onesie from Farmers or Cotton On.
For the older ones, go for elastic pants and a soft button-up or a loose-fitting dress and sneakers from Farmers or

Avoid resting grinch face
Is it the little one’s first time meeting Santa? The experience should ideally be fun and exciting. To ensure they’re comfortable, let them wear their favourite costume when meeting the big man! They’ll be smiling from ear-to-ear with the perfect outfit from Farmers. Are they still a little shy? Pick up a photo companion from Whitcoulls.

'Tis the season to be spilly
Avoid any last-minute accidents or spills by dressing them just before it’s go-time. Or, have a plan B! Get the perfect carry bag from Strandbags or a convenient change so you don’t spoil the perfect pic. A hairbrush for a quick tidy up, wet wipes from Chemist Warehouse and a festive bib or two from Postie are also necessities that’ll save you on the day.
