The Coffee Club: Kids Can NZ Christmas Cups 2024
The Coffee Club, Level 3
We’re thrilled to share that over 400 students from more than 30 schools supported by KidsCan entered our much-loved takeaway cup competition, which has become a special Christmas tradition for us. The winning artists’ designs earned a total of $12,000 for their schools.
This year, we’re celebrating 15 years of spreading festive cheer and supporting KidsCan. The charity plays a critical role in providing essentials like food, warm jackets, shoes, and health products to children living in poverty. Sadly, this Christmas, record numbers of children across more than 240 schools and early childhood centres are waiting for support.
Elsa’s winning design is a magical scene featuring a cat perched on a windowsill, gazing out at a snowy night. The moonlight beautifully illuminates Santa and his reindeer flying across the sky. Elsa’s enchanting artwork will appear on our medium-sized takeaway cups, and she’s also won a $1,000 Westfield voucher for her creativity!
Second place went to nine-year-old Kendra Escalera from St Mary’s Catholic School in Avondale. Her warm and festive design, showing a roaring fireplace, a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, and Santa flying past a cheerful snowman, will feature on our large takeaway cups. Kendra also takes home a $600 Westfield voucher!
Third place was awarded to ten-year-old E.J. By from Lake Rotoma School for their delightful design featuring Santa’s bulging gift sack, flanked by two kiwi birds wearing Santa hats. E.J.’s artwork will be showcased on our small takeaway cups, and he has won a $400 voucher for The Warehouse. We also recognised the creativity of ten additional students, who received Highly Commended awards for their outstanding entries.
Join us in spreading Christmas joy and supporting Kiwi kids by visiting one of our 67 cafés across New Zealand and grabbing one of our limited-edition Christmas takeaway cups. It’s the perfect way to enjoy your favourite coffee while helping make a positive difference this festive season.
