The Coffee Club: KidsCan Christmas cups 2021

The Coffee Club, Level 3

The winning artists’ designs from this year’s KidsCan Christmas Cup Artwork Competition earned a total of $12,000 for their schools, beating more than 300 entries from over 30 schools across New Zealand supported by KidsCan. The new takeaway cups featuring the winning Christmas themed designs are now available at all The Coffee Club stores nationally until mid-January. Their fabulous artwork is another reason to look forward to Christmas!

The competition was won by Stella Kim (8 years old) from New Brighton Catholic School in Christchurch whose design was awarded first place. Stella’s design will appear on the large takeaway cups and this features Santa (while holding a cup of coffee) and his reindeer surfing by the beach!

Second place was won by Eve Sowry (9 years old) from Papatawa School in Woodville whose design will appear on the medium takeaway cups. Third place went to Emma Ramsay (8 years old) from Saint Joseph’s School in Invercargill. Emma's design will appear on the small takeaway cups. The three young artists also received $2,000 worth of vouchers between them.

Ten students from various schools across the country also received highly commended awards in recognition for the creativity of their design entries. The KidsCan Christmas Cup Artwork Competition aims to raise awareness of the work being done by KidsCan to support the education, health and wellbeing of Kiwi kids living in hardship.
