PAK'nSAVE, Level 1
If summer is for fresh salads and light bites, winter is for comfort food like casseroles and pasta. Italian cuisine, in particular, lends itself well to wintertime cooking because it’s all about simple ingredients, straightforward processes and big, bold flavours.
To celebrate the start of pasta season, we reached out to the incredible food content creator and influencer Charlotte Ree, to design a feasting menu especially for you. Ahead, you’ll find three modern recipes based on classic Italian fare that taste just like Nonna makes it. From homemade garlic bread and handmade potato gnocchi with salsiccia e cime di rapa to a Nutella panna cotta, it’s all delizioso.
A fabulous use for a day old French baguette. The key here - copious amounts of melted butter and freshly minced garlic!
The perfect accompaniment to any pasta sauce, this easy potato gnocchi becomes the show stopper when combined with the indulgence of buttered Italian sausage and greens.
A deceptively simple Nutella panna cotta, whilst beautiful served just on its own, the real hero here is the delightful addition of a chocolate and biscuit crunch.
We sat down with the self-confessed pasta queen and got to know more about her and her love of food.
