Hair 101: the best hairstyle for oily hair
Let me paint a picture for you, it's a weeknight and you’re faced with a big decision – hit pause on that addictive Netflix series or get up and wash your hair? Well, 90% of the time, Netflix wins for me!
Sadly, I am one of those people who is blessed with an oily scalp, face and, well, entire head! This means I tend to wash my hair every second day, even though I'm told by those superhumans who are able to wash their hair once a week that it's best I train my hair. Easier said than done I say, however I have found a great hack.
To help me extend my wash by one extra day in my cycle, I have the perfect hairstyle for oily hair – the slick low ponytail. You only need a few products and that oily hair is out of your face in no time.
1. Dry shampoo
Start with a dry shampoo to help absorb some of the oil at your roots. Spray at the top of your hair, avoiding your ends as this is usually the drier section and it's best not to waste product here. Let the dry shampoo sit for a minute and then use your finger tips to work into your roots.

Using a fine comb, part your hair down the centre and comb down any flyaways. Smooth the hair at the nape of the neck and prepare for the next step by placing your hair behind your ears.

3. Tie it up
Tie a low ponytail using a trendy hair tie for a trendy finish or take a thin strand of hair, wrap it around the hair tie and secure behind with a bobby pin.
