We are a part of The Big Hoot Auckland-wide sculpture trail sponsored by Haier!
Come in and meet our beautiful Owl ‘Rough Seas’ by Raglan artist Sam Mathers and 6 little owlets painted by some of our local schools - Marist Primary, Edendale, Auckland Specialist, Gladstone, Pt Chevalier and Mt Eden Normal schools.
The most important part is that you will have the opportunity to unlock some exclusive deals in centre via The Big Hoot app. If apps aren't your style we have printed trail maps available at our Customer Service desk so you can plan your route.
ABOUT THE TRAIL
The Haier Big Hoot is a free public art trail featuring 47 giant Owl sculptures (1.65m tall). Each Owl has been turned into a bespoke piece of art by a Kiwi or International artist, with works by Dick Frizzell, Jeff Thomson, Greer Clayton, Flox, Weilun Ha, Peata Larkin, Grace Wright, Jessica Pearless, and more. Joining the giant owls are 60 owlets (90cm) – many designed by Auckland school students.
From Saturday 03 March, 2018, the Owls will be displayed for nine weeks in public spaces, parks, malls and libraries across Auckland. At the end of the trail the Owls will be auctioned to fundraise for Child Cancer Foundation.
Find them all using the trail map within the Big Hoot 2018 app – available to download from the App Store or Google Play from 01 March, and collect rewards as you go!
