In 1976, beauty pioneer Anita Roddick started The Body Shop out of a small store in Brighton. She decided the beauty industry needed an overhaul; and her vision was for a brand that put people and planet first.

For over 40 years, The Body Shop has shown the world that business could be a force for good, living and breathing our founder’s trailblazing approach.

Now, we have a B Corp stamp to prove we still live by that vision, and we care as much about people and the planet as we do profit. It’s how we’ve always done business. It’s in our DNA. In becoming a B Corp business, we join a group of businesses who ensure the highest social and environmental standards.

Our aim is to make a positive difference to people’s lives. We now have just short of 3,000 stores in over 70 countries and continue to create products that contain ethically-sourced and natural origin ingredients that make your skin feel enriched and loved.
