Taste. Shop. Play welcomes in Autumn for 2019
Westfield Manukau celebrated the beginning of Autumn 2019 with a weekend packed full of art, food, music and of course a whole heap of fun!
Limitless scenes of colour saw the South Auckland community dive in to a Humans of South Auckland workshop, while others attended the unveiling of the beautiful Rerenga mural. The weekend was not without the sampling to tasty morsels on offer while of course all topped off with a live DJ, face painting, balloon twisting and so much more!
A traditional Māori karakia took place in Civic Square as the beautiful Rerenga mural was unveiled to the South Auckland community. Talented art duo and master minds behind the 66 metre mural, Charles and Janine Williams, handed over their work to the South Auckland community to call their own and enjoy for many years to come.
Creative juices were flowing in the Humans of South Auckland story telling workshop as members of the local community were guided through the process of writing part of their own story and experienced the power of sharing their words with others.
Taste buds were tantalised at our tasting station with customers enjoying fluffy pink candy floss and popcorn while our food retailers showcased their new and local flavours.
The team at Lovely by Skin Institute ran free skin analysis where customers were able to get an insight of what their aging process would entail while also having the chance to win one of two $500 Lovely vouchers.
Kids got amongst the fun of balloon twisting and face painting then headed over to our photo booth to snap up storm!
We had the best time celebrating the beginning of a new season with the South Auckland community, and can't wait to do it all again!
