Help nourish our community with Kai Avondale

This July, Kai Avondale is calling on the community to support their winter food drive — collecting essential non-perishable items to help stock their social food pantry Free Guys and community meal initiative Feed the Streets. These programmes provide dignity, nourishment, and connection to individuals and whānau experiencing food insecurity across Avondale and beyond.

Westfield St Lukes is proud to support this vital campaign by hosting a collection point in-centre from 14–27 September, making it easy for you to contribute to the meaningful work they do.

Donations will help Kai Avondale continue to serve over 4,000 two-course hot meals and distribute more than 5,000 food parcels this year alone.

We welcome donations of unopened, in-date non-perishable food and personal care essentials, especially:

• Canned fruit

• Canned fish

• Spreads (for toast and sandwiches)

• Baked beans and spaghetti

• Pasta

• Pasta sauce

• Oats

• Crackers

• UHT milk

• Self-care items

Donation Drop-Off Point

Location: Level 1, near Lukes café

Dates: 14 – 27 September

Time: Centre hours
