5 winter trends to get you back to business
It’s safe to say we’ve all been investing in cosy loungewear pieces to get us through the last few months, which probably means your office attire has edged its way to the back of the wardrobe. If your return to the office has left you in desperate need of new winter attire, not to worry – we’ve put together some of our favourite winter trends that will have you looking oh-so-2020 as you get back to business.
1. Check it out
If you’re wanting to add some depth to your work wardrobe this winter, heritage checks in muted colours are back and in force. Whether it’s a staple coat, a new blazer to add to the collection or some tailored suit pants Dotti, Glassons or Decjuba have you covered.

2. Cape it up
The office environment can be hard to dress for in winter given the constant need to layer up and layer down. If your office aircon is against you, it can also call for keeping that coat on at your desk, which can get pretty uncomfortable.
The solution? If you haven’t already, it’s time to invest in a cape. It not only polishes off an outfit, but serves as the perfect solution to keep you warm while giving you room to move. Take the plunge and visit Portmans to invest.

3. Head-to-toe neutrals
Sick of wearing blacks and greys? It’s time to warm it up this winter with head-to-toe neutrals. Try layering different tones, or stick to the one hue and add some interest with different textures. Glassons, Mirrou and Max all have an amazing range of neutral tones to play with. Don’t forget to polish things off with the perfect pair of shoes – neutral boots in delectable caramel and beige shades like the ones from Mi Piaci or Hannahs have also made a comeback this winter and are a great addition to brighten up any outfit (neutral, or not).

4. Statement leather
Leather and leather-look pieces always work their way into the winter wardrobe as a staple - but this season they’re straight on the front row. Double denim, it’s time to move over – with pleather tops, skirts, blazers, pants and coats hitting the shelves everywhere this winter, you’re officially encouraged to take it to a whole new level and layer up. Don’t know where to start? Visit Glassons Dotti and Decjuba and check out their brand new collection.

5. Blue on the horizon
A dose of colour is required every winter to lift the spirits, and this season it’s all about blue! Whether it’s a statement blazer, jumper or skirt, Sportscraft have some great options. Plus, you can combine the hottest hues of the season by teaming this up with your neutral tones for an on-point twist.
