Two of New Zealand’s best chefs join Westfield Newmarket in 2019

Two of New Zealand’s best chefs set to join Westfield Newmarket’s Rooftop on Broadway dining line-up.

With a collective resume that includes some of the world’s best restaurants including Nobu and Roka London, Tokyo’s Park Hyatt, and Auckland’s own MASU, Nic Watt & Darren Johnson are arguably two of New Zealand’s best chefs and the latest dream-team to join our Rooftop on Broadway dining line-up at Westfield Newmarket.

Inspired by their extensive travels, Nic and Darren’s latest venture, INCA, will be a Peruvian-style restaurant that will set a new benchmark in dining for Aucklanders.

“I first discovered the delights of Peruvian food in 2012, when I went to Peru to study ceviche and antichuchos and I fell in love with the cuisine back then and always had a vision to do something,” explains INCA co-founder and owner Nic Watt.

The mouth-watering menu is set to include ceviche and Peru’s most popular street food, anti-cuchos -marinated, barbecued meat cooked over manuka and coffee charcoal, served straight from a sizzling woodfire.

The interior is set to be just as impressive as the menu featuring materials inspired by the pinks and greens of Peru’s famous Rainbow Mountain.

INCA is the third retailer to be joining New Zealand’s first rooftop dining, lifestyle and entertainment precinct Rooftop on Broadway, in addition to previously announced White + Wong’s & Sardine Cocktail Bar and Something & Social.
