Journey Through the Stars of Matariki

Step into a journey of reflection, storytelling and discovery this Matariki.

From 28 June – 12 July, experience our immersive Star Walk at Westfield St Lukes. Wander through a starlit tunnel inspired by the nine stars of Matariki, where each star shares its own story and significance within te ao Māori.

As you move through the experience, discover the meaning behind each whetū (star), take time to reflect on the past, celebrate the present and look ahead with hope for the year to come.

Whether you're learning about Matariki for the first time or continuing a cherished tradition, the Star Walk offers a meaningful way to connect with the Māori New Year through light, art and storytelling.
